TakeGo (operating through the domain takego.pt) is committed to protecting the privacy and personal data of its clients (Restaurants/Stores) and of the end consumers whose data passes through our platform. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use and protect information in our POS system, KDS (Kitchen Display System) and Delivery integrations.

1. Information We Collect

In providing our SaaS services, we collect the following data:

• Restaurant Account Data: Company name, tax ID, address, email, phone and backoffice login credentials.
• End Consumer Data: When an order is processed through the POS, via QR code at the table, or received through integrations (e.g. Uber Eats), we process data such as name, phone number, delivery address, tax ID (for invoicing) and order history.
• Integration Data (APIs): Access tokens, store IDs and webhook keys required to synchronise TakeGo with external platforms (Uber Eats, Moloni, Ifthenpay, etc.).

2. How We Use Data

The collected data is used exclusively to:

• Provide, operate and maintain the TakeGo platform (POS and KDS).
• Process food orders, payments and issue invoices.
• Automatically synchronise inventories and delivery receipts with partner platforms (e.g. Uber Eats).
• Provide technical support and resolve account issues.

3. Data Sharing with Third Parties

TakeGo acts as a data processor. We do not sell, rent or share personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. Data only transits to third-party platforms when strictly necessary and authorised by the Restaurant.

4. Data Security and Retention

We implement rigorous technical and organisational security measures (password encryption, HTTPS/SSL communications, webhook signature validation) to protect data against unauthorised access. Data is retained only for the time necessary to provide the SaaS service and comply with legal/tax obligations.

5. Your Rights (GDPR)

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), users have the right to request access, rectification, erasure ("right to be forgotten") or portability of their personal data hosted on our platform.
